Can I get a refund? (one segment no longer operated by carrier)
I have booked a non refundable J ticket with AA with some sectors on BA metal. Flight is from Gothenburg to Miami via LHR, HEL and JFK.
BA have now cancelled a sector from LHR to HEL.
Can I use this as a reason to get a full refund as I now find myself in a position of not being able to make this trip? BA have said that I can be booked on AY metal to HEL but that I need to contact AA to change. So the trip is still doable, I just can’t do it!
Thanks

Assuming that you haven't started the journey yet, you should have no problem getting a full refund (if you booked it with AA, then AA is who you would call).
If you've already flown one or more segments, it gets a bit more complicated.

No, the trip is not until next year. Thanks, I’ll call them.
