I'm actually pretty sure this date was reported in this thread or elsewhere (apologies to whomever might have posted it if so,) but, latest target date for T4 lounges reopening is November 17th.

That is a ridiculously long time to be closed.

Welcome to permitting in So Cal. Agreed though, bring a big crew in and get it done. Caltrans works faster than that.

Don't blame permitting or the government. The airline should have planned for this.

They did indeed run into all sorts of problems of regulatory, etc. nature. Won't go into details, but anyone who's involved in construction, etc in today's real world environment (bureaucratic, union, OSHA, etc) understands.

Some posts have been summarily deleted. Please, let's get back on topic. And let's refrain from getting personal.

And, if I understand correctly, AA will be using DL's former "DL One" area as priority check-in at T5 until about the time T4 A.C. reopens, at which time it's not clear what will then happen to the former DL One area-- to be decided.

Are showers available as long as the FL lounge is open or do those have different hours?

Does the T5 AC have any separate FL section, for those eligible for FL access?
If not, does that mean the Taittinger is unavailable?

Does this include flagship dining and flagship first?

If people here are interested in what is going to happen to the Delta One area, they can pretty much figure it out for themselves by examining the concept plans for the T2.5 building and the T5.5 APM core.

The T4.5 building will have a layout similar to the T2.5 building and the T4.5 core will be accessible from all three levels just like the T5.5 core.

I dont' know what changed, but recently when leaving from JFK to LAX on upgraded ticket from coach to Biz, the AC keep saying, oh you can go to the FL, which is great. I looked up the rules tho and I'm not sure why I suddenly can. Happened 3 times. I hope that's the case for the new FL at LAX too
