Now we're getting a "kids might see a booby thread".
Or into a Nut Allergy thread regarding those who want to control what other passengers are allowed to consume.

But you don't get to impose your personal view of appropriateness on the rest of the world, so this is irrelevant.

It is not my responsibility to care what your 6yo is viewing. You take care of your child and I'll watch what I desire. In fact, perhaps the first few seasons of GoT would be perfect.

Which would perturb you more: Nudity or violence?

Yep. I suppose no one here has ever been caught when one of you kids comes looking for you unexpectedly?

I am one of those parents that doesn’t want anyone other than my wife or I determining what is appropriate for my kids to watch and I certainly wouldn’t want someone who themselves is uncomfortable with their body or sex to make any determinations on my behalf, irrespective of how well intentioned they think they may be.

Worry about your kids- not mine, and if you don’t have kids get some or move on.

In fairness, this thread isn't so much about what kids are "watching" as what they're "catching fleeting glimpses of from 10 rows back with no context." Somehow I think the latter isn't going to permanently scar anyone's kids, regardless of how offended the parents are.

And before someone chimes in with the inevitable rebuttal -- no, nobody's talking about US-defined pornography, which is of course against the rules to openly view on AA and other domestic airlines.

Missing post? Posts with attacks and/or profanity used against other members will summarily be deleted. Consult the Rules if you have questions.

Let’s strive to keep this thread on topic, please. It’s about AA offering adult content on aircraft AVOD.

Thanks,

IMO, the credit card hawking is the most offensive thing we are subjected to onboard

I don't believe there's an MPAA rating - PG13, R, etc.

HBO describes it as TV-MA.

Faux rage to boost FT page views? A conspiracy among 3M employees to sell more privacy/screen blockers? Wasn't there a thread on the (UA?) forum recently?

This particular film is a tv movie, so it does not receive MPAA rating. TV-MA means "This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17."

And -- unlike other people's screens which we can choose not to look at -- truly against our will.

I also applaud AA for showing unedited films. What a pleasure it is to watch an R movie with all the language and boobs. That's the only way a movie should be watched.

On a related side note I had the pleasure of watching "Naked Attraction" in the UK last week. LOL Could you imagine if the general US population saw this? They would be mass heart attacks nationwide.

I think this is fantastic. Good for AA for allowing the unedited version and not censoring. It is really annoying to watch IFE when the content had been edited out. If someone doesn’t want to watch it, they are not forced to watch it. But I shouldn’t have my shows edited to someone else’s standards.
