AC Access for adult child traveling separately?

I have an AC membership through the Citi Elite MC and know that I can add my adult daughter to the card as an authorized member, yet I wonder if that's the only way to provide access? My 20-yr old adult daughter is traveling home from school next week. She'll arrive at ORD about two hours before mom and dad will arrive from another city. We're all gonna drive home from O'Hare together and she'll have a sit at the airport waiting for us. I guess she could buy a day pass (and she probably won't care one way or the other), but was wondering if there was a way to provide access to the AC for her? Probably won't be able to get her a card in time.

thx, danbrew

There isn't any way for her to get access under your membership without you present, unfortunately.

FWIW, for future use, my 18 yo daughter has been able to gain access to the Admirals club with the Citi Exec card in her name (additional on my account) without issue. (No drivers license check for age etc.). Also works for her when flying on other airlines.

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do - she doesn't travel much, and most times she is in and out of the airport. This time she's sitting around waiting for mom and dad, so thought it would be nice. I've already requested a card for her but I'd be surprised if she receives it before she travels.

AA's policy is that 18 is the minimum age to enter the clubs unaccompanied. Local laws will determine age for alcohol service at the various clubs around the world.

While we're posting things that, while true, have literally nothing to do with anything in either OP's post, or any subsequent post, let me add my own. American Airlines typically uses the fare class Y to denote a fully flexible economy class booking.

Depending on when your daughter is traveling, you may have luck calling Citi and asking them to expedite. They should be able to do next-day delivery in a major metropolitan area, or 2nd day delivery in the rest of the continental US.
