BusinessExtraa BXP1 Certificate. How Much Time at Check In.

I upgraded an economy fare from EWR - ORD in First with a BXP1. 3 Upgrade Spaces were available when I upgraded and it's cleared. How much time should it take at the airport for the check in agent to look at my BXP1 and process it?

Yep. A good agent will knock it out in minutes. The only variable is how many folks are ahead of you in the FC line.

Great! Are there relatively BusinessExtraa knowledgeable agents at EWR?

Yes, a good agent can do it quickly. But a bad agent? I've had some bad experiences. Once nearly missed a BOS-LHR flight due to agent's inability to complete this task in 20+ minutes. Original poster is right to be thinking about this.

I'd give yourself an extra 20 minutes - it only takes them marginally more time than a traditional check-in but that's not accounting for lines at the airport.

Also, give kiosk and/or online check-in a shot first. It works for me about 1/10 times (they will still usually ask for the voucher during boarding).
