Arrow AA European Fare Sale

I just found that AA is running a terrific winter fare sale to almost all European destinations from almost all US cities for travel valid from now to (around) 3/31/2018. Including the codeshare BA flights. Looks like typical RT Economy fare is between $400 and $499.

For example, typical SAN - LHR or CDG or AMS or ZRH fare is around $1,500 (BA 272, codeshared with AA, is the only direct flight to Europe from SAN). I just booked:

1/25/2018 - 1/30/2018: SAN - CDG: around $450
2/22/2018 - 2/27/2018: SAN - AMS: around $415
3/15/2018 - 3/21/2018: SAN - ZRH: around $475 ($415 if travel early morning via JFK on AA metal)

All these flights have several BA legs.

Looks like amazing fare out of SAN. Tickets are priced at $1 or $2. rest are fees and taxes.

"Pizza in Motion" reported the sale in early evening. I read his blog post in the "milefeeds" app (BTW: I think "milefeeds" is one of the best (free) travel news app in iOS -- FlyerTalk should be included but ...). Link:

FARE SALE! American Airlines Appears To Be Having A European Fare Sale To Pretty Much Everywhere. From, Pretty Much Everywhere.

Don't know how long the sale will last.

Last year around this time, DL had a Black Friday sale to Europe with similar fares, but it included travel in the Spring and Fall. I picked up three trips during that sale. Don't recall if AA matched last year, but I would keep a watch out next week to see if something similar pops up for the warmer months.

I tried to book a bunch of these flights that show up as ~$450 from CLT-GVA for Feb 2018 but none of them were available at the google flights price on aa.com. Does google flights just have a pricing error? Or is the info stale?

I grabbed a BWI-FCO this morning when I saw this for next month, it will be enough to get me to 150k EQM and extra "overachiever" SWUs. The routes I looked at don't appear to be showing up this afternoon, so it might be gone.

Check the premium econ prices. You can do SAN-JFK-ORY for about $1,200.

EDIT: it's dead.

Any of these sales include business class? Need to book three round-trips but so far best deals I can get are still through AAVacations.

Probably not. You can check in ITA Matrix:

Looks like most of the really cheap fares are gone. But AA might have a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale. So worth checking.

I've been noticing these from HNL since last week. They come and go. Pretty good fares, at least from Hawaii.

BA has PE for about the same price as AA for the same travel dates and destinations (used AARP link, dunno if it makes a difference), earning 2200+ EQD's for 1200 Cash.
