Not to mention 787s from two or three different hubs instead of an A380 from one megahub. A380s make (some) sense for EK or BA or LH because they have one, maybe two dominant long haul hubs or an airline like QF whose long haul traffic is heavily concentrated in a small number of trunk routes (and even several of those airlines are having a lot of trouble keeping their long haul operations "great"). A380s don't make sense for an airline with nine hubs (six or seven of which are major international gateways) spread across a large country.
