When does the AA Upgrade list get published?

I'm flying tomorrow and was put on the upgrade standby list and was wondering when Domestic Upgrade Lists come out?

It may be something in between those two. AA.com states they will continue to try to automatically upgrade until 3.5 hours prior to departure which leads me to believe airport control over the upgrade list begins at that time and that is probably the time for the upgrade list to be available on the app.

I've never seen it anything other than T-4

My understanding is once the list appears on the app, the list is under airport control. I based my previous answer on the following from aa.com:

Step 2

If your upgrade is confirmed, we'll send an email to the address in your AAdvantage profile to let you know you've been upgraded.

If you're not upgraded right away, we'll keep checking for upgrade availability up to 3.5 hours before your flight.

The list is available via the app exactly 4 hours prior to departure. Every time.

I have always seen it as T-4 hours too, and I diligently am checking the app right at that time to see where I am on the list vs the EF J seats available to calculate odds of upgrade.

Not always the case. I've been auto-upgraded while in the T-4 timeframe before any gate agent started prepping the flight.

I think there's a final sweep around T-3.5 for automatic clears. I've seen myself on the UG lists at T-4 and cleared, and then had my name disappear from the list.

Anyone know why the app is somewhat flaky within the T-4 window in whether it decides to show the yellow View Upgrade List banner? I find that sometimes it's not there and I kill the app a few times and then it randomly comes back. Anecdotally, the Android app seems to be a little more reliable than the iOS app. And is there anywhere on AA.com this can be viewed?

There is probably a way to view on aa.com because I had a way to view the list on US Airways at that time. But I don't know the URL.

I just usually have to hit refresh once or twice. The app sometimes reverts back to "last updated "x time ago"" before the upgrade window and doesn't show the list.

That might've worked when they were using the US Air systems, but the entire airline is run off of the pre-merger AA reservation system, which has never had upgrade list viewing technology on the website.
