AA 2689 POS-MIA : Trinidad Carnival Monday 2017
I'm typically not a fan of the fashion for flight attendants and safety demonstrations to be folksy and humourous. I tend to find them either amateur or annoying. However I found the genuine attitude of our Purser Tobias on board to be refreshing and welcoming. His empathy for the many passengers missing Carnival made it all the more relaxing on a very full flight.
Does AA still have a staff recognition system in place?

Yes they do.
You can commend someone at the AA site online at
https://www.aa.com/contact/forms?topic=CR
If you are an AAdvantage member with status they send you commendation slips that you can fill out and mail in or give to members of staff who have gone beyond.
