I am flying in business on AA28 LAX (dep 11.45pm) to JFK transcon later this week.
How early can I check in and access the lounge? I’d normally do 2 hours before flight but because the flight is so late and hOrel check out so early I was thinking about turning up to the lounge about 4 hours early? Would this be allowed or is there a limit? Also on landing in JFK is there a lounge that can be accessed? thanks in advance |

There is truly nothing worth showing up to Lax FL that early for. I get having to check out early and if you have nothing else to do then sure but def not worth 4 hours of time
Thank you for all the responses, much appreciated. Can anyone confirm if there is a lounge we can access on arrival in JFK? Thanks in advance |

I've done the red-eye out of SFO several times. Go have breakfast. Save your boarding pass. Enjoy a leisurely meal if you don't have to hit NYC running. |
"Single Visit Pass" Ever declined due to loune capacity or other reasons?
Hi, I'll have a long ~8 hour layover on AA flights through DFW and am interested in relaxing and taking a shower in the Flagship lounge.
A "Single Visit Pass" is listed as available for $150 on AA.com but there is also terms on capacity considerations ("A Flagship® Lounge Single Visit Pass (“Flagship Pass”) is only available at select Flagship® Lounge locations and is subject to availability based on Flagship® Lounge capacity."). Has anyone ever been declined a Single Visit Pass due to capacity concerns or other reasons when having a connection on an AA revenue ticket? If that could occur I might take another flight option that costs slightly more to avoid the long layover. |

That said, while all FL's can get pretty dang busy during the afternoon rush I've never seen one be so slammed that this would be an issue. AA will happily collect $150 from you regardless of whether you can find a seat or not :) |

You might be the first person to ever consider the $150 FL pass so I don't think we have any data points on if one has ever been denied due to capacity issues.

The Flagship Lounge charging $150 per visit is highway robbery, unless you plan on spending the layover getting well-lubricated at the self-serve bar. |

JFK Flagship Arrivals Lounge?
Flying FCO-JFK in Business Class, which I think arrives at Terminal 8. Departing 4 hours later on JetBlue from T5.
Is there an arrivals Flagship Lounge I can access at T8 while waiting for the JetBlue flight before going over to T5? |

You may use the normal Flagship Lounge after your FCO-JFK flight (assuming it's an AA flight). You would show your departing boarding pass for the jetblue flight to reclear security in Terminal 8. They will allow your entry to Terminal 8 even though your boarding pass is for Terminal 5 - just tell them you want to use the lounge.

OK, so we go through immigration, exit the customs area within T8, then go upstairs and go back to departures security...presumably showing our business class FCO-JFK boarding passes to TSA to use the first class queue and tell them we are going to the FL, and then go chill there for 2-3 hours before heading over to T5 and going thru security again over there.

Also please report back on whether you're granted access to the FL arriving from Europe with an onward flight on B6 as this is a bit of a grey area, it's not 100% certain that you'll have access. Oneworld rules would not allow access as your onward flight is not oneworld, AA's rules kinda sorta would however what's printed at aa.com does not always match reality. |
