Hi Dave Noble,

I waited for 4 days for the ticket to be issued. Should I have waited longer? If the twitter team can't handle this kind of request they shouldn't be empowered to take payment and make changes.

The first phone agent telling me to HUCA the next day didn't solve my problem either.

The ticket is now refundable according to 2 other phone agents and a twitter response but I have nothing in writing (other than the twitter screenshot) confirming this. Why can't AA send the fare rules for this ticket or allow me to see them online after purchase? The phone agents had to check with others to confirm refundability so it's not clearly indicated for them either. I don't want a $5k travel voucher if this trip gets canceled.

The twitters may be able to do tings - in fact it seems that the person changed the booking and then got it issued

I wouldn't use such unidirectional communication to deal with an issue on a normal booking

With a phone call, would have proper 2 way communication and be able to stop someone taking it on themselves to make a change - even if they thought that there was a reason to do so - but just check ticketing ; when spending $5000 on a ticket, I would want to speak to a person directly

I wouldn't be overly worried and would wait for longer anyway - having made purchase, it is reasonably safe

If you want easy access to fare rules, then booking directly with AA might not be the best - perhaps ask what the fare basis is and confirm it is INN8T1S5/B032

If you can get the fare basis code in writing (maybe even Twitter), you should be able to match it up with the full fare rules that you saved when you originally went to purchase the ticket. That'll be you "evidence" if you ever need to dispute for a refund.
