I understand why security people would be alert to the possibility that it's actually ammonium nitrate not sodium chloride, even though the standard form of ammonium nitrate is prill that is easy to distinguish. But there are other oxidizers like sodium perchlorate that might freak out security, too, if the amount is high enough.
