DCA-PIT delayed two hours; inbound diverted. Should cancel?
I'm at DCA. AA4632 (DCA-PIT) was on time until about 30 minutes before boarding, delayed to 7 then 7:30 rapidly. Inbound (AA4435) from RDU was diverted to PIT due to weather. GA says that the flight will come back and then it's 7:30pm still. The AA app shows a 5:45pm arrival for the inbound to DCA, FlightAware shows landed and nothing else. I'm unsure about 5:45pm because it's almost 5:45 and nothing; the flight was diverted about 45 mins ago.
My question: this trip is a trip I really want to take. However, the chances of a cancellation altogether seems high, given crew timeout and the diversion itself. Should I cancel and not waste my time at the airport? GA was ambiguous, saying the flight was scheduled to leave at 7:30pm but that she didn't know anything beyond that.
Thanks!

Update: the flight ended up leaving 2 1/2 hours late and landed into PIT at 9pm.
I felt very fortunate, because usually RJs are the first to get the shaft during IRROPS.
