Aisle width?

My wife wants to buy a roll aboard (but not your standard "suitcase" style).

she unfortunately fly's coach more that not (especially when she is not with me). I know that the aisles in coach are tight, and when I travel with my laptop bag (Swiss Army / on wheels) which id 17" wide. it is t a tight fit to roll it down the aisle.

The one she wants is: 19" wide. Does anyone know what the coach "aisle width" is on the different AA equipment; m80, 737,757,767?

Thanks

I'm not sure, but personally, I hate when people drag those down the aisle instead of carrying them, as they ALWAYS bump it into people already seated in aisle seats.

Go to the AA website and look-up each plane.

For instance, here's the spec for MD-80: https://www.americanairlines.cn/i18n...boeingMD80.jsp

MD-80 Aisle Width
First: 18.25"
Main Cabin: 17.8"
And here is 757: https://www.americanairlines.cn/i18n.../boeing757.jsp

757 Aisle Width
First/Business: 22.2" (757-1)
First/Business: 22.3" (757-2)
Main Cabin 17.5"

Speaking anecdotally without the benefit of measurements, I'm going to say that I believe the aisle width of the MD-80 is about the best you're going to do in Economy across the entire fleet and that a 19" bag isn't going to roll past First on just about any aircraft.

I do not know the exact widths of the aisles, but I know that 19" is too wide for coach.

I'd recommend getting those roll aboard bags that swivelling wheels and can be moved straight or laterally.
