Flying Tomorrow, Super Bowl Options In Flight?

Wasn't paying attention when I booked my flight a few weeks back, flying from CLT - DFW, departure around 6:15pm ET.

With Gogo Inflight, any chance I might be able to stream the game in flight?

Video streaming doesn't work very well. I have find audio streaming to be OK using my SiriusXM subscription.

I was able to get the DirecTV Sunday Ticket app to work intermittently a few times on Sundays during the regular season, but the video eventually lags, buffers, and re-buffers, etc. CBS will be streaming the game, but I bet a lot of other pax will be trying to do the same thing, and ultimately Gogo just doesn't have enough bandwidth. It's possible an audio stream might work, though.

Not sure if it's an option but have you considered doing a same day change to a later flight? Then you could just watch the game in the airport. Or maybe even standby for an earlier one and hopefully get to Dallas before kickoff.

Gogo's service specifically states it won't work for video streaming and in my experience it never does.

I'm sure a lot of pilots will announce score updates.

The ads will all be on YouTube later. That's the part that people care about, right?
