I think they are giving up on them. My last trip in F MIA-LHR I was only given a J kit. I complained and got 5000 miles as compensation.
However when I was on a recent DFW-HKG flight, I noticed again that they had J kits in the F cabin. I guess they are trying to run through their existing stock and hope no one notices...

Beat you to it. I'm in J on Flt 3, JFK-LAX. Kit is now a plastic wrapped pair of socks, earplugs and a sleep mask. No lotion, lip balm or hand/face wipe. Cheap socks, too - I can see through them. My stepmother will be disappointed - I've been collecting the others for her to keep her feet warm in the CT winter.

Anyway, attached is what the new TCON J amenity kit looks like. Essentially, a coupon for $75,- off a $250,- Cole Haan purchase is holding together socks, eyeshades and ear plugs. It's about as tacky as when AA pulled blankets and pillows from Y and tried to sell them for $8,-. If this is not a significant downgrade from the previous kit, then I don't know what is.
