AA61 (DFW-NRT) diversion to LAX (12/2/2015)? [No]

Does anyone know why this DFW-NRT flight diverted to LAX tonight? It seems like an odd diversion, as LAX isn't even near to the normal flight path to NRT. My guess is that it was easier to rebook the pax out of LAX.

It doesn't appear that flight 61 today has diverted anywhere, at least according to both flightaware and AA.com. Where are you seeing this?

There is nothing in expert flyer flight status confirming a diversion of either NRT flight.

Looks like a mixup on the part of flightradar24. The flight they show as AA61 diverted is actually AA2480, DFW-LAX. At least I'm assuming AA didn't really intend to fly a 763 on DFW-NRT

Hmm, that's weird, if nothing is showing on those other flight tracking websites there must be an issue with flightradar24

As this was a non-event, rather than merge this with the consolidated diversion - delay thread we will merely close it.
