LUS Based New Aircraft Purchases
Has anyone been on a new purchase US aircraft recently? Are they going with the AA style seats or the old blue crap-box seats? Is there MCE on the planes?

These issues are under discussion here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...eculation.html
Some are reporting the new Airbii are still arriving with the same seats and pitch as has been traditional for US, and the AA Airbii are still arriving with the traditional AA seating and pitch.
*Chic Sale's (1885-1936) humorous portrayal of a country carpenter, Lem Putt, who specialized in building outhouses in rural America, was published as a book in 1929 and soon, "The Specialist", became a best seller. the book can still be purchased. In rural areas of America, an outhouse may still be referred to as a "Chic Sale".

Was on the second flight of some new US 321 metal. It still had the new plane smell but sadly it also still had the standard US interior, seats and pitch included. I've also been on a newer AA 321 and while I'm not sure the seats are more comfortable, having MCE and IFE make it worth looking forward to.
I've been waiting for more news on any refresh to the US fleet, but right now it looks like new paint for most of the planes. I feel like they announced that the US 319s would get MCE and no mention of rest of fleet but I can't find any official links.

There was some news recently that effective next month, pmUS metal exit rows will be sold as MCE. Wow.
If you're tall and traveling with someone who is not exit row eligible (disabled or child under 15), then you better buy F if you're on pmUS metal.

pmAA started coding bulkhead and exit row seats as MCE a couple of months back. Once the system merge is complete in mid-October, this is simply carrying through to the pmUS fleet.

At least one of the new delivery PSA CR9s (have only been in Y once on them, F every other time) has MCE placards above the seats from row 8 to the exit row. The seatmap on website and at checkin showed normal Y seating, but it did seem like there was some extra room forward of exit rows

Thats interesting that Row 4 to the exit shows MCE. In my experience Rows 1-4 are all first class. Are there CR9s flying around with only 3 rows of First?

Correct, as I alluded to in my original post, PSA CRJ9s show normal seat maps online, yet it did seem like forward of exit rows (which were placarded as MCE) did have more room. I didn't have a tape measure or anything to confirm it.
