AAdvantage Promo Code
Hi Guys
I’m currently planning my first trip to the US next year. After looking at plane tickets I’m leaning towards booking a Business Class ticket with American Airlines as they offer tickets below 2000$ (most other airlines want 3500$ or more). So I was about to make an AAdvantage registration and i saw the Promo Code field and as usual I went off to google for a code. I found that AA had some deals that will help in obtaining a higher status, but all I found expired on July 7.
So I’m looking for an updated deal that will help me. Can any of you help?

Welcome to FlyerTalk.
Could you clarify what you mean about a "deal that will help in obtaining a higher status"? I've been flying AA well over 60 years and I'm not familiar with the concept.

All I got was
The active promo just now is for those flying premium fares, offering 2-3 Elite Qualifying Points through the end of this year. There's also a status challenge (Gold or Platinum) that allows a shortcut to status 5,000 or 10,000 EQ Points in three months, as opposed to 25,000 or 50,000 EQ Points or Miles in one year).

It worked for me just now. But targeted offer, so it basically doesn't exist if you're not targeted.
One can buy a Founder's Card membership for interim status as well, at the moment, but that's far from being a gratis promo.
