AA list Etihad as a partner. The AA site lists 37,500 miles for Business Class flights between Europe and Africa. However, when I found space available on Qatar Air, AA wanted to charge for 2 separate awards instead of one.

Can I fly on Etihad from FRA to JNB for 37,500, or is this also considered a double segment.

My only other option to use AA points from Europe to South Africa is with British Air, and they charge $300 (tax and fuel surcharge).

I was successful in getting a Business class flight from Cape Town (via Doha) to Phoenix (via Phl) for 75,000. But I still can't figure out how to get from Europe to JNB for 37,500 without using BA.

Trying to use AA miles for Business Class from anywhere in Europe to South Africa. I have 37,500 miles, which meets the one world partner mile amount.
