Fast Track to Elite Status is back [HV2T1 & HV3T1, targeted]
I couldn't find any other discussion of this (surprising)...yesterday I received a flyer from AA inviting me to sign up for a promotion to accelerated elite status:
Gold - 6000 miles
Plt - 12,000 miles
EXP - 30,000 miles
Need to register by 7/7 and travel between registration and 10/9 to qualify. It says it's a targeted promotion only available to people it's sent to.
Too bad I haven't any real travel plans.
edit: added a photo

Wow I wonder what made them do this
Is this the first type of promo giving away EXP (I said giving as opposed to matching) under Dougie boy?
I haven't followed this challenge type giveaway that closely in the last year or so; its quite possible I've missed them if they have had similar promos in the last 12-15 months
I just stumbled upon this thread
on that note, I'd love to do the EXP; I need to run to the mail box, mailman came a short while ago

That's a very fast track, although 30K over 3.5 months is about a normal annual pace to EXP. I wonder how widely distributed this is and how much mileage they have accumulated so far this year.

just wondering why they dont extend this to current exp in a way that lets say you requalify for exp before lets say July 31st you get extra SWU, so instead of 8 you get 10
(its all for my own selfish reasons of course)

Probably because if you're already EXP they know you'll probably already try to keep it.
