New AA PLT trying to get into BA lounge FAIL
I booked a ticket on BA.com as a World Traveler plus, and it was booked AA gold.
Now I am a AA PLAT - but I was not plat when I booked the ticket
On AA, it says I am PLAT
On BA - it says that I am One World Ruby
At AA, they say that I am PLAT and BA should recognize it
At BA, they say that I am ruby until AA tells them I am Plat
I am trying to get into the LHR BA lounges.
I am not sure if the problem is BA or AA, but I have called both, and they say it is the other's problem.
Can someone offer me a way to solve this>

Why not just present your Platinum card (or are you EXP as your profile notes)? That should give you entry no matter which card you present.

This can be a frustrating situation. You can download the mobile card to your phone assuming you have that capability and try that as it should say platinum and show an albeit extremely tiny sapphire logo in the corner.
Otherwise, what usually has to be done is call and have your AAdvantage number removed from the reservation and then reapplied. This SHOULD then update your status on the reservation from ruby to sapphire. On AA it works pretty much instantly, I'm not sure how it works in the BA system though.

Other than what cmd320 suggests, the only other thing I would suggest is AA entering a note in your PNR of your One World status, and having the BA gatekeeper check that if they reject anything else you present. You could also have them call the AA counters at LHR. Just depends how badly you want to get in.

If you're working with iOS, then just tap the 4 lines in the upper left corner of the home screen on the app and select My Account, and then View AAdvantage Card. It will open it up and also give you the option of storing to passbook for easier access in the future.

I know. It's never fun being declined lounge access, especially when you are in fact entitled to it. If the mobile card doesn't work then as tom911 says see if AA will enter a notation in your PNR explaining the situation. I assume this is T5 and not T3? If you have access to T3 perhaps an AA GA or TA could print you a lounge invitation or something. Never tried that before but the problem is almost definitely on the BA side of things.
