Spoke with a lounge employee last Thursday who mentioned the club may be completely shut down for at least two months so the renovations can finally be completed. The lounge in Terminal 5 will stay open and be the only AA lounge at LAX until the work is completed. He did not know when the closing will start.

Yes, this is accurate.

Read this, and immediately opened the website to review the access rules for the oneworld Business Class Lounge at the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

That terminal connector is going to receive a lot of foot traffic.

Interesting. I plan to stop in the flagship lounge on Thursday to check in on the progress.

Was supposed to be this week, trying to find out how much of a delay is currently anticipated.

Do they have a target date for reopening the T4 Flagship Lounge? And will Flagship Dining open with it? Have a flight going to Sydney in mid-October.

Target is end of October:

Hopefully this closure to complete the renovations will help in that regard, as up till now, they've only been able to do the main work 1am-5am.

Is it in fact now closed or is there a date it is set to be closed?

Just keep on walking is your best course of action...

For sure. Three weeks ago, the queue to check-in to the AC/FL was the same queue to handle any flight rebooking, obtain boarding passes, add information to your itinerary, check on flight delays, etc. Service quickly bogs down.

Ignore your curiosity. Head straight to the QF lounge.

What (presumably recent) change are you referring to?
