When I used the BA method I get this error:
Data Source Error [RSD-2] "Stopovers No, I want to continue without stopover processing." BTW, it is a prompt I get when logged in BA website for the same award search. |

Have been having the same problem.. multiple Finnair options showing up, and every time I click one, I get a message that "The flight you selected is no longer available. Please modify your request." with the website offering the same flights all over again!

phantom (CX) availability KVS (use JL or BA)
Could somebody pls help or clarify: I see availability on KVS for a business class CX seat LHR-HKG Aug 22 at 12.30 pm. Just called AA and they say nothing is available. Already called twice and no luck. Should I write that seat off as a phantom seat or should I keep calling?

no, I used awards/oneworld. I just signed up for a BA account and then used awards/BA-oneworld and indeed: not visible. So that's the answer then? I've never had problems with discrepencies when using awards/oneworld but apperently better to use BA or JL accounts. Thanks.

I see that mentioned everywhere, but just wanted to add that I've had exceptionally good luck using the BA method, FWIW.

You're right alex, there is some avail for the scl-mia routes. It was refreshing to see at lease one flight have a J avail. I was actually looking at lax-lim, cant find a single date that works.

Phantom award space on JAL?
I've been trying to book JL65 SAN-NRT J. I called AA twice now. Both times the agent can see it, but it comes back as unconfirmed from JAL. Monitoring BA.com as the call takes place, the availability is originally 4, then fluctuates between 3, 1, and 0. Then after a few minutes it settles to 1 and stays that way for an hour or so. But then it bounces back to 4. But the agent still can't book it and the whole thing repeats. Any ideas?

I've had this happen to me also with JAL this week. Have not been able to figure out what the problem is.
|
I've also noticed similar fluctuations in JL revenue buckets the past few days.

Problem persists 24 hours later. Supervisor manually queued it to the airline liaison (rate desk?) as "desired". As far as I can tell this didn't actually hold the space, according to the availability on BA.com. It's just a way to get the liaison's attention (which is a good thing). Hopefully they have some magic up their sleeve. I do wish they are staffed on weekends.

how far in advance are you trying to book?
