Can I piece togeather a milesaver award?
We are flying DFW to SJU in March on milesaver business class.
I could not get the flight to book from CRP where we live even tho
there were connecting flights to and from CRP to DFW. The agent on
the phone said it was a "marketing thing" and I could only book routes
listed, couldn't put together a route, she said that would cost two
awards. I put the award on hold and went to book it a few days later.
This time I asked again and was told I could have done that but now the
flights from CRP/DFW were full.
I went ahead and ticketed the DFW/SJU but was wanted to know which
was correct. If the CRP/DFW opens up I would prefer to pay the change
fee rather than buy 3 tickets.
The routing I have is DFW-TPA- SJU, when you try to book from CRP
it does not route you through TPA, only through MIA so an agent would
to piece it together.
Can it be done?
