Flying SFO-ORD in an hour, First Class?
So I am on the challenge to get Platinum I got get on this red eye any way to get first class I am on a connection to LAX and then ORD. I want to go into first class but don't want to pay the $120 upgrade for 4x 500 mile upgrade. Anyway? Thanks guys your the best

Not unless you're incredibly attractive and are ready to do some serious flirting at check in. Even then, the chances are slim.

If you do it you'll get the EQM for F instead of Y so it might be worth it if you'll hit your challenge sooner.

He would get more points by paying the fare difference--unlikely since OP didn't want to spend $120 for the stickers.

Sounds like OP is already ticketed in Y. So upgrading to F with stickers or, in the unlikely event of an op up, would not result in any more EQP for the challenge.

Well I got upgraded for free from SFO to LAX, now I cannot even see if there is a open seat in first class from LAX to ORD is there any way to check?

Even if you buy the 4 upgades, how do you know you would be upgraded?
It could also take hours for you stickers to show up. You might be better off paying $35 each at the airport.
