Just celebrated my 20th anniversary on AAdvantage!
First flight was ORD-LGA and going on 4MM (about 17K shy). A couple of incidents and cancellations but overall, can't complain much. Happy to have AA in my backyard from an old PanAm/Eastern FF.

My account says I've been a member since 1988, so I guess it's 20 for me as well, but I have no clue what I was flying for over 10 of those years. That's when I flew whomever and knew nothing of status. Probably why I'm just over 2MM, and most of those in the past few years

With my on again, off again and on again with AAdvantage, I am at 24 years, since August 29, 1984 and 1.7+MM miles. I do remember using real stickers, long and short segment that were applied to your boarding pass or ticket, don't remember which. I also remember when the point of actually achieving Gold status was a special secret known only to AA. IIRC, there were different colored stickers based on your AAdvantage status, the non-status stickers were blue on a white background and I think there were actual gold and plat stickers.

24 years for me as well, so of course I also remember stickers. I already had an Airpaass when I got my first gold card, which seemed pretty useless by comparison - no free drinks on planes, no entry to the Admiral's clubs, etc., so I never carried it.
I remember the Special Services crews in Paris and at JFK much better - and probably still have their cards somewhere. ORD not so much.
