I got it too. I am wondering if using the offer converts the ticket into a no-upgradable fare. I seem to remember this happening earlier this year with the other offer

I saw a thread earlier today that AA's computer that tracks systemwides was down, so decided to hold off booking my London trip until Monday, as I want to upgrade. Now I'm glad I did

Need to go to Oslo in March, but discount not valid on codeshares!
