I have seen it posted on this site that DSR trumps nearly all other upgrade requests.

It indicates a passenger willing to pay the difference in fare, to be moved to a different cabin.

I would find the thread, but 3 character searches are not allowed.

Yes, this is correct. It will put you at the very top of the list.

I'm told DSR is even ranked higher than A2B, "CHAIRMAN/PRESIDENT/SENIOR OFFICERS/AMR SUBSIDIARIES SENIOR OFFICERS!"

flyastrojets, thanks for your illuminating posts - we've been waiting for you, and I've just been marking time here...

I imagine some of these codes have been around since (at least) paper charts with seat stickies were used at the gate, and that ET is much mlore frequent than LF these days, unless that now indicates your BP was scanned.

grouse, are DSR and A2B trumped by "RP?" (As in "Arpey.")

Haha...

This really doesn't matter, but just for gee-whiz info.... AA company business priority codes (A1, A2B or P, A whatever....) rarely appear on the standby list anymore. I think A13 may....as that's for non-employees on AA biz....

Anyways....a few years ago AA made all company business travel positive space.... meaning you actually make a reservation for it. Being that its confirmed, you don't go on the standby list, though the priority codes for this still exist and do go into the employee company business "reservation." The primary code one would see on a standby list for an AA company biz traveler is UPGE. You guessed it... employee standing by for an upgrade. And yes, it places underneath all the other UPG's in priority. Folks like Arpey don't have to worry about that as they can confirm first class. Not that it matters, but I've actually seen Mr. Arpey in coach, unlike his predecessor. But that's a story for my first ever flyertalk happy hour that I'm sure I'm going to go to someday!

Man...I'm talking way too much today! Probably because I flew UA yesterday and I'm happy to talk about my old airline!

PS LF means your boarding pass has been scanned. That process "lifts" your electronic ticket. Just like a paper ticket would actually be "lifted" when one boards.

Upgrade priority help

Hi guys,

Some one had posted the upgrade priority sequence when using miles and VIPs here some time back. It included priority based on status and whether or not the person was on a thru connecting flight etc.

Could anyone that has the thread bookmarked please post a link? My searches proved to be in vain.

Thanks in advance.

Back in the good ole' days, when AA was cranking out a top flight product, FAs were required to address all AC members as "Admiral Smith," etc. and greet with a discreet salute.

Also, these "Admirals" had the authority to override certain inflight procedures (i.e. FEBO) and could, in the event of late departure, direct the pilots to fly at a higher, but less fuel efficient, cruise speed.

Codes on FA's passenger list?

Hi there,

I recently got a glance at the passenger list that was hung in the galley. My name had a few 2 letter codes next to it - some of them I was able to interpret (EP = EXP, AC = Admiral's Club). But there were a few others as well that I had no idea what they could mean. The FA was a bit busy so I didn't ask her.

Is there a complete list of codes? Would be interesting to know what FAs know about me by looking at that list.

Thanks,
Wolfgang.

Congrats on your first post!

If you do a search, I do seem to recall a thread about this within the last six months or so. IIRC, there are some codes for dealing with non-revs, VIPS, etc.

Thanks, I actually did a search (nothing worse then asking a question over and over again...) but must have used the wrong search terms. :-(

A first time poster asking such a detailed question! Welcome!

While Searching for 'manifest codes' gave me only limited success .. I did find a good place for you to look for some codes and other 'tech' details.

Look at this Wiki and there is a link to manifest codes that might give you some answers.

Some of these codes aren't in the Wiki... not completely sure what all of them mean either...

Enjoy.
