CX Seat selection for AA booking "on hold"?

CX Seat selection for AA booking "on hold"?
I booked a CX flight with AA miles. It is "on hold" for 5 days, and it has been 24 hours since the booking. AA has given me the CX PNR. However, CX.com cannot find it. Is this normal? Now, in the recent past I was able to pull up an AA reservation that is "on request" (not yet ticketed) in CX.com, which I realize is later stage than "on hold". I am just trying to select seats as early as possible.

You should be able to. Try variations of your first name and middle initial/middle name. If your first name is John and middle is Allen, try john; thmen johna; then johnallen. I find they vary between the bookings from trip to trip. Not sure why.

Finnair.com, which only asks for last name and PNR, cannot find it either. Maybe I've been given a dud by the Twitter team.
