It's tax day after all.
Prefer inside security at LAX, but have enough time to go out if need be, or anywhere at SFO.

After 9/11, most airports removed letter boxes from airports.
I'd guess that the AC would accept the tax form(s), if you had paid the proper postage.
At https://www.google.com/search?source.........0.&pbx=1
they show two po's--but not in the terminals.
Didn't mailing tax forms go away with the horse and buggy--doesn't (nearly) everyone efile?

There's a post office near LAX that's maybe a 15 minute walk from terminal 1.

A search for collection boxes for ZIP 94128 (SFO Airport) at www.usps.com shows one at "1 International Terminal" and one at "24 North Concourse," which both sound like on-airport locations. There may also be a (free?) airport shuttle bus to the SFO Airport Mail Facility.

SFO sounds more promising than LAX.

There's a post office really near the airport open 9-6 today.

You could take a taxi, mail the taxes certified, then go back to the airport.

The Admirals Club is prohibited from accepting your mail.

AFAIK, there are no USPS mailing facilities fireside at SFO, and I'd be very surprised if LAX had any.

LAX does not, and just the same as an unmarked seal box, the AC will not take packages/boxes from passengers to be mailed.

For that expense and hassle, the OP might as well e-File.

I'm guessing that's the motivation for snail mail - cheaper than TT State e-file?

There also appears to be a FedEx drop box in Terminal 3 at SFO, and FedEx 2nd-day service is acceptable to the IRS. But you'd have to visit irs.gov and enter "private delivery service" to get the correct street address for sending in a return via FedEx.

Not really. https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/ That doesn't help last minute but I haven't mailed a check or a return in years.

The states I file in don't have that capability (without having to go through a filing service and paying a large percentage of the tax payment as a fee). I'll continue to write those checks (federal is done that way though).

I use TurboTax to efile, they give you lots of options to "e-pay", one is to have the irs do a "direct debit" from your bank acct.
"Fear mongers", might not want to use this last option; could the irs at some future date go on a debiting spree?

I think that FedEx box is in the United Club. If there isn't one in terminal 3, there is one in the International G club. I forgot which one though.
