Do AAdvantage memberships expire?

I'm trying to apply for a Citi AAdvantage card for my wife and I can't login to her AAdvantage number. She hasn't flown any revenue miles in several years, but did fly on award travel last year, but the number and password isn't working anymore. Also their Find Password feature says "This feature isn't working, please try again in a few minutes."

So, do AA numbers ever just disappear and you have to apply for a new one?

After significant time passes, they do. Try a call:

U.S. or Canada
AAdvantage Customer Service
1-800-882-8880
Please say "AAdvantage Account" when prompted at the Main Menu.
9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (CT) Monday - Friday

You can always use Facebook, Twitter, etc. But sometimes phone answering time is reflective of irrops, weather issues, etc.
