What happened to my 500 (-mile) upgrades?

What happened to my 500 (-mile) upgrades?
Checked my account today and find that my 4 500 upgrades (left over from my non-ExecPlat days) have vanished from the 'current' screen, though still appear if I check under 'September'. Is there some reason why these show under one but not the other? (I also show about 3.8K "total available award mileage" more than the actual "mileage balance" in my account!)

First thing I thought when I read the title was that you had 500 500-mile upgrades. haha

Did you use them?? 
Sometimes I notice some irregularities, especially during my account summary processing at the start of each month. Usually goes back to normal by the next day. Otherwise, a call into AAdvs C/S would not be out of line.

Same thing here. No "500 Mile Upgrades" under current, but all that I have had for the last 3 years showing under "September." I haven't used one in all that time, but will be for a companion on Sunday. Will check tomorrow.

Same happened here. I called the EXP Desk and was told that since EXP get unlimited complimentary upgrades, AA wasn't keeping track of 500-mile certs anymore. Did I get wrong info (some posts above indicate they still have theirs)?

If I go back to my August statement, they are there. But September and current? Shows "no activity"

Happens frequently. Stickers are always still there in actuality.

But, should an exp fall back to plat (
), they would have earn new ones (if the banked ones are gone
)--assuming the exp agent is correct.

I'd be thrilled if EXPs start getting complimentary companion upgrades, I'd definitely book a lot more cheap ~domestic flights and prevent other elites from getting upgrades.

So, what's the real story here? Are upgrades earned when you were gold and platinum taken away for all current EXPs?
