So that's why the 77Ws were being swapped around at JFK yesterday delaying my TATL by 3 hours leaving me semi stranded at LHR right now.

Ouch, the disruptions by a mistake. I'm sure lots weren't too happy about this.

According to that page, he taxied to a spot NOT designated for a 777.
Did he forget he was driving a 777??

He is probably the same guy who parks his big truck or SUV in spaces marked "compact car only"

The important question is: how long will the plane be out of service, and which routes are affected?

Exactly! After having a taste of the good life (77W) in recent months, I'm not sure I can go back to the 772!!
