In an answer to my e-mail to Annette Shully in customer service, she said that each Kellogg's type will count as a partner, and clickrewards will count as 1 partner, points. com will count as 1 partner, aol opinion poll or Quick check in will count as 1 partner. So, accordingly, I have 21 partners and have asked her to check on this for me.

I noticed the Auto Quote is gone from the AA partner list - any idea when it was removed? My miles posted on 6/11 for a quote.

Thanks sosafan for bringing the latest update to our attention over on the www.aa.com site. Most of the questions are now answered IN WRITING regarding what and who count as a partner.

Yes, the new rules posted at AA.com do clarify a number of things. They even mention that some miles posted in the bonus column, such as for credit card miles and point transfers, DO count as a partner. I am very disappointed to see that point transfers from hotel programs effectively negate stays at ANY brands within that hotel group. For example, you can get credit for two partners by staying at a Hilton and then a Hilton Garden Inn. Once you do a point transfer from Hilton, you have negated the two stays and the transfer plus the two hotel stays will only count as one partner. Doesn't seem fair, but it is very clear that that is the case.

There are still at least two things the new rules don't address:
1. Do Kelloggs miles from different Kelloggs products (Eggos, Nutra-grain, etc.) count as multiple partners?
2. Does the National Park Donation, which posts in the bonus column of the statements, count as a partner?

MileKing - I am not sure if your interpretation is correct. My interpretation of the rule is along the lines of what someone else had posted earlier. Which is that if you have a stay at Hilton and also transfer miles from Hilton Honors, that would be one partner transaction. This is because AA has assigned the same partner code to Hilton and Hilton Honors. But if you had a Doubletree stay and a transfer from HHonors, they would be two partner transactions.

And my interpretation is that a transfer from Starwood, and a hotel stay from Starwood brand properties each count as one partner transaction (because there is no Starwood property brand with the name Starwood).

A clarification on this point is needed from AA.

Thanks to clarification of Kellogg's partner listing (1 for each type), was on a hunt to find Eggo packs with the cert. Went to 4 stores, no luck.

Then went to Sam's Club tonite, found 60-count boxes ($6.88), each with one 500 mile cert... Made my day :-) So bought just the one box for the 500 miles, haven't eaten Eggos in years!

Am still trying to find charities that will give miles for donations, even called AA who advised about the Special K/Breast Cancer (Fly 4 The Cure) promo, but would not let me just make a donation directly without having to buy the cereal and send in more certs...

Anyone know of any others besides this one and Nat'l Parks? AA spent alot of time trying to help me in this regard, I appreciated their willingness :-)

I'm not complaining - maybe they changed their policy and haven't updated their webpage? I don't know.
