Republic Airways, flying as American Eagle, will operate 47 (down from the original 53) new Embraer E175 regional airliners starting "mid-2013" under a 12 year contract. Some predict ORD as hub for these.

Probably. Seems like all of the regionals usually are near the bottom for on-time performance. Is MQ consistently worse than its regional peers?
Subjectively, the fact that MQ flies NO CRJ-200 equipment at all makes them tops in my book!
But I think that our industry expert was trying to make some much broader point than on-time performance.

This must be what is causing all the problems at ORD today. My 1020am connection to ATL was canceled due to no pilot. Now my 505pm re-booked flight just canceled due to no pilot. Seems I've heard several cancelation announcements for the same thing down the hall. Having flashbacks to the pilot games on AA last Fall. Ugh.
