Is the question "Does first class make an insulting remark on free wifi"?

The answer to that one is no, unless you consider the intro adverts to GoGo insulting.

It does not, you have to pay like anybody else on the plane.

I didn't think you could even get wi-fi on international flights, only on the US portion of it (maybe Canada?). Or has that changed?

Not changed yet, still only continental U.S.

This looks like a good time to point out to the OP how few AA aircraft types - and how few AA aircraft generally - have wifi available.

AA's service is GoGo - it is ground based - it provides services over the US and within 100 miles of shore. Not during the rest of the flight.

As a point of interest -

No free WiFi/GoGo but you can connect for free to use aa.com or use your mobile app for American Airlines; i.e. change seats, plan future travel, obsess over your mileage, etc.

It's been like this for awhile now...comes in handy.

Sorry to hear about your unscheduled landing in the ocean on that trip, but I am surprised that you bothered to check whether the WiFi worked while they were telling you to get into the liferaft!

AA has international wifi on the 773 according to http://www.aa.com/i18n/urls/entertai...mand.jsp#wi-fi

On a side note, I do think the no free wifi in F or J is a bit silly. You should be able to log in for free with your last name and PNR. It's a bit nickel and dimeing!

It appears the a/c is operating (checked flightstats for LHR-JFK) and the wi-fi, if functioning, is free through May 8 in all classes of service.
