Million miler status
guys
I'm confused when i look at my AA miles program page. It shows miles at 285,000 under million miler but I only have 30,000 miles in the account at the moment
Does one reach million miler by accumulating 1m miles without spending or is it about having collecting 1m miles in total even if you spent most of it on your way?

The Million Miler miles are a sum total of all "Base Miles" (for all practical purposes EQM) miles flown to date, all CitiBank AAdvantage Executive card miles credited if one held the card prior to 1 Dec 2011, and up until Dec 1, 2011 all redeemable miles earned. Whether you have spent them or not (they are not redeemable, merely an indicator for Million Miler qualification).
From Dec 1 2011 on, only Base Miles, and Citi Exec card miles earned under conditions stated above through 31 Dec 2012 count, toward Million Miler status.
