How many SWUs do you have left?
Just wondering, now that we are about midway through the year.
How many SWUs did you have on March 1, and how many do you have remaining?

Of course I started out with 8, but so far, I only had the chance to use 2 of them, leaving 6.

earlier this year I still had some leftovers from the 2009 promo that I used in Jan / Feb...
around March 1st I had around 6 or 7, but used them up on 2 trips to Japan and a trip for my mom up from EZE...
good thing I got 4 more from crossing the Million Mile mark !

Started with 0, now have 0.
Though I know it's not my business, I have a strong and oddly conflicted gut reaction to this.
I want to either lecture you about letting such a great benefit go to waste, or sympathize with you for getting stuck in coach with the rest of us.
Please let me know which is appropriate.

I'm EXP, so domestic upgrades are complimentary and have a 100% success rate this year. Though last year I did use an eVIP on a LAX-ORD flight when it was obvious that a sticker upgrade was not going to happen.
If it makes you feel better, all 5 that have been used this year have been gifted to others. Four for transcon flights and one for international.
Believe me, I would rather die than be stuck in coach.

You're not going to be any happier with me when I state that last year I had four that expired.

I'm going to get 8 SWUs in December (plus take some of the 8 my wife will get), but there is no way those will cover all my international flights in 2012.
You never book J on a 772 and SWU to F?

Started 1/1/11 with 10.
Used 3, gifted 2.
5 remaining, little prospect of needing or using them myself. All domestic travel thru the end of the year.

Started with 10, 4 left. 4 were gifted and have used 2 for myself. I'm EXP so domestic flights are complimentary upgrades (and transcons for business purposes are booked up front) and international flights are booked in business, often on only 2 class aircraft.

I have 7 expiring on 2/29/2012 and will get another 8 expiring on 2/28/2013 once I hit EXP again next month. I wish SWUs could be turned into miles at year end, particularly for LT as I am slowly working my way to 2MM.
If not, I will use them on domestic and like last year ask any of my fellow AA FTs if they would like any I don't use. I usually tell friends if they are flying on AA to let me know but believe or not they are not interested in upgrading (and yes they should go have their head examined or have better priorities in life) or they call me the day they are leaving.

Had 8 exp 2/12, + 1 exp 2/11 but pulled for a confirmed UG for a post 3/1/11 flight. Now have 4 exp 2/12, plus another 4 exp 2/13 courtesy of hitting 2MM.

Just wondering, how did some of you start with 10 or even 16 ??
I've been EXP for 4 years, and only get 8 per year.
