AA vs. Cathay Pacific First Class

AA vs. Cathay Pacific First Class
For an upcoming trip I have enough miles and availability to book:
Departing Cathay Pacific JFK->HKG and then onto BKK (the 16h flight on a 777, leaving 1:20AM)
or
Returning AA, BKK-> NRT -> DFW -> DCA, with the transpacific flight being 11h on a 777.
What would be the best use of miles? Who has the better first class experience?

I have flown both recently (CX just a few weeks ago) and there is no comparison, CX beats AA in every respect. Took AA First to China and back last year and while the seat is nice, the amenities do not compare, and the service in AA F isn't much better than coach....
The seat, diver and mattress, pjs, and service on CX F is unbelievable. Good luck either way!

I had great F experiences in both HKG-JFK (cx) and DFW-NRT (aa)
if I have to choose one of those for the first time F experience, as the previous post said.. I'd go for CX...

Cathay by a mile- not even close
AA vs BA in F might be worth debating, but CX First is much much better

A less one-sided debate would be comparing AA First to CX business. I think it is safe to say that some people would prefer CX business class.

Sorry, but I'm somewhat confused by your post. However, if the question is which first class itinerary is more desirable, then it's CX hands-down. There simply is no comparison between CX and AA. You really should work on the return segments to fly CX rarher than AA.

Having done both, I found the flight attendant service superior on AA simply because they CX FAs were too ever-present and downright annoying while those on AA were just right.
Aside from that, CX is superior in every other way.
And, rather than get into the usual debate on this, I'll just add that those who prefer the "waiting on hand and foot" style of service will prefer this aspect of CX as well. I don't, so it was more bothersome than pleasant.
