Like others, I've only had one or two with Wifi, and they were new ones ex SEA-ORD. I flew on a new one tonight LAX-DFW without wifi. Would have been nice to have!

How can you tell new 738 vs old? I fly 738s all the time and am presently on one at gate DFW-SNA. All 738s I've been on in the past 6 months have the newer first class seats, but only a very small percent have had Wi-Fi. I have unlimited GoGo pass so it really irks me when I can't use it.

The old 738s that have been converted have window plugs in the cockpit "eyebrow" windows.

Here's a photo of a KLM 737 with the eyebrow windows plugged and painted. http://www.airliners.net/photo/KLM--...406/1469762/M/

New 738's already have GOGO from the factory but it takes forever to turn on due to some testing stuff. You can look on gogo's website and it will show you the percentage of aircraft equipped

Just a data point 9 ORD 738 departures on 3/16 are GoGo aircraft
445 CUN
1718 BOS
1247 LAX
1165 LAX
2079 SAn
1843 SEA
415 SEA
1561 SFO
2013 LAS

Bad advice. The Gogo website is woefully out of date.
