ORD-KOA (Kona)
my wife and i are planning a trip to the big island april25-29 and are looking for the best way to travel on american. We would love to use miles to upgrade and we do have enough to do so.I'm plat for life and she is gold for life, but I assume using upgrades is a bit unlikely.
Can I get some ideas about the best routes/planes for that trip?

If upgrading from a discount economy ticket, it would require miles and copay.
You can also use 500 mile upgrades to ugrade flights to Hawaii.

It will not get better than ORD-HNL-KOA in F. (well maybe ORD-EWR-HNL-KOA in F/J on CO)
