Illy Issimo now on AA transcons - finally decent coffee!

Just came across my FB wire..

illy issimo We know you are always on the go. If you are flying coast to coast on American Airlines from NYC, SFO, LAX, MIA, or BOS, you can now ask for us by name. We are available on transcontinental flights only...for now.

Looking forward to this next week! AA coffee and I have a strained relationship. Thankfully AA didn't go with nasty Starbucks or Green Mountain Roast.

Solved this by carrying VIA. Still get confused looks from FA when I order hot water with 1 cream and 2 sugars.

Today's FB post was "If you’re flying between New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami or Boston, American now offers illy issimo cappuccino drink onboard our aircraft. Buy it, try it and let us know what you think! Buon viaggio!"

(Bolding mine).

News like this doesn't deserve its own thread; it deserves its own Forum ^^^

(OK, yeah, I'm a coffee snob)

Cheers.

I also just flew NYC-DFW-EGE and saw in American Way they listed the illy issimo cappuccino drink as being available on all flights.. so maybe it is rolling out fleet-wide soon? ^

Looking at that facebook page, it doesn't appear that the Illy coffee offered is coffee brewed on board, but rather coffee already made and canned...

Hope I'm wrong, though!

I am not sure what your issue is with this link? I found it to have information on a product ( the canned version) I was not familiar with.

Ciao

Looks like SEA and IAD are missing. Aren't SEA-JFK and LAX-IAD also considered transcon flights?

Woot. Great news. It'll be interesting to see if it's actually good though
