Cape Air codeshares from STL start April 6th.
American Airlines will begin codesharing on Cape Air's St. Louis network on April 6th. This bring Cape Girardeau, Marion and Quincy back into the American Airlines network.
Codeshares are not yet bookable.

$49 each way.
Lets see ... EXP for $4900.
More seriously ... great to see some traditional markets reopen in STL, even if it is only with C402's.

How about the service to HGR, speaking of places people have never heard of.

A few years ago, I used to take the Jetstream 31 AA RegionsAir planes out of MWA over to the former STL hub. Such special memories!! I was able to make status by flying MWA-STL-ORD-MSP (4 segments per OW trip!)
These Cape Air planes are only Cessna's ... but apparently they've gotten rave reviews for customer service, and I'm happy for the people of Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri who will be able to take advantage of this new agreement.
Now, will flights on Cape Air earn EQM or just RDM??

I frequently fly Cape Air on Cape Cod - good little airline with friendly, reliable service.
The Cessna's aren't exactly the lap of luxury, but fun to fly in once in a while.

It looks like its going to be a codeshare, so you'll book the AA connection and earn just like regular.
Curious whether it will be a codeshare that is just bookable as a connection, i.e. LGA to Cape Girardeau, or whether it is a code share you can book direct, STL to Cape G.

What model of Cessna do they fly, and does anyone have the seat map?

Typically on these flights (I've not flown Cape Air, but I do fly a similar airline that also uses the same plane type in the Caribbean between SJU and Virgin Gorda), the co-pilot's seat is a passenger seat, so one lucky person gets that seat. Really cool.

So we might be losing JAL from OW, but gain Cape Air as codeshares.
Maybe we can get them to do some TPAC routes? ;-)
