BOS-LHR loaded as 757 starting April 2010

BOS-LHR is now loaded as a 2 X 757 starting in early April.
Flight has gone from 777 to 763 and now 757 in less then a year.
This should drive a bunch of business to BA and Virgin unless someone needs the miles.

Also 4X BOS-LAX that was loaded as 4X in April is now 3X
with 2X being reduced from 757 to 738 in April (B6 & VX impact)

Also the seasonal BOS-SAN has been removed (B6 impact)

Sorry, for not keeping up elsewhere, but what kind of seats do they have upfront on these international 757s?

777 NGBC 2 x 2 = 16 seats

Yuck.

If that actually does stick it'll be interesting to see what happens to the business fares ex-BOS. There is NO way I would pay discounted business or if I worked in a company (if there still are any left that pay C!) choose to fly AA given that option.

Why does it seem that American carriers have pretty much made travel incredibly unpleasant...to say the least...

So, that's not too bad, then. The domestic 757 seats are abysmal.

You mean 757? 777 has 2-3-2.

I meant the 777 type NGBC - apparently a bit wider than the 767 - in a 2 x 2 configuration

I can't remember from the other threads - do these seats have the AVOD built in, or is it the cheesy 767 portable machines with cords hanging all over and no air show?

If it's built in, I'd actually prefer it to the AA 767 config. For whatever reason, I really dislike the AA 767 biz layout. Atmosphere seems SO cramped, the portable video players are just tacky, and a lot of them have no individual air vents. Those seats in the first row in the middle section make you almost feel like you're sleeping in a drawer! It is my least favorite intl biz cabin in the sky currently.

Ridiculous. First they cut the 777s from the route in January og this year, replace it with 763s then 75Ls. What's next? Eliminating it altogether? I'd rather just keep AA 108 as a 763 then have 2x 75L. I guess the 9:55 flight will be back this summer. I wonder where its slot went

Seat maps still showing a 763.

The 3rd daily flight returns next summer too.

Wow. That...sucks.

What a crappy use of LHR slots. Can't AA just lease them to another airline or something like that? Surely that could be a better temporary solution than flying 757s?

AA is using a slot pair so they do not loose it with 108 doing a 1 stop BOS-LHR-BRU

The 757 for BOS-LHR are loaded in the Amadeus Timetable

Wow. BOS-LHR is a major route for me. Will my loyalty to AA survive this downgrade? I will have to think carefully. Combine this with BA OnBusiness, easier T5-T5 transfers, etc., and I might move to BA. But what about EXP, AAdvantage, and domestic routes? Not sure yet...
