Lousy Bump Deal in LAS

I was returning to DEN from LAS yesterday, and the CSA asked if there were any volunteers to take an alternate flight. This was LAS-PHX-DEN, and their problem was the LAS-PHX leg. I was leaving at 3:30pm and arriving DEN at 8:30pm. The alternates were a flight arriving at 11:30 pm or 2:30 am. The compensation? $50 travel voucher. I told the CSA: "This is Vegas...up the ante."

What was the outcome? Did they up the ante? Did other people volunteer?

I think a couple of people did. Never upped the ante. For the LAS-PHX leg, the alternate flight was an hour later, hence only $50.

Made more sense for people getting off in PHX then.
