Mileage accrual "NORMAL" economy

Hi,

On NH's website, it says that besides for SQ(70%) Mileage Club members earn 100% miles for Normal Economy, and 70% for Economy PEX fares. What is normal economy? Full fare economy? On a Star Alliance RTW ticket, what would I earn?

Thanks

Based upon my personal experience you will
receive 100% mileage credit for RTW plus
class of service bonus on NH. I purchased a
cheap econ. ticket earlier in the year to
use some HM upgrade coupons that were going
to expire. When points posted to NH they
were not 100%. Yes more like 70%.

Normal Economy means **Y** booking class only.

RTWs are not booked in Y: They used to be booked in B class, which used to earn 70%, but now since they harmonized the booking classes, I don't know what it is now. But it isn't Y so I'm pretty sure it will earn only 70%.

Hrmm, i am not entirely sure if this is 100% true, I caleld up NH and asked whether I earn miles for a V, M, H class tickets on SQ, OS, etc and they have said yes, vary from 70%-100% mileage. OS "V" was 100%.

Could people please confirm or deny this from bookings they've made? Thanks in advance.

I have bought more than several discounted economy fare tickets and none of them earned me 100%. All were 70%. Y, yes, full fare tickets have generated 100%.

ANA always puzzles me with their service: More than you expect but less than you paid for!

Depends... If you pay US$500 for a R/T from ICN to LHR and get 100% miles on Aeroplan, it's more than you expect and definitely more than you paid for.

I can't understand how they determine these things.

My experiences so far:

UA B - 70%
LH Q - 50%
BD W - 70%

Given that my BD ticket cost me £17.50 each way, while my LH ticket worked out at around £40 a segment; it all leads me to think that it might just be a total lottery.

Regards,
Alex
