northern lights

Am considering a trip to see northern lights. When is the best time to go? Where is the best place to go? How long should we stay? Was hoping to make a long weekend of it. Thanks for any suggestions

I'll try to keep a better eye on the Alaska forum...

Anyway, from now until the end of January would be a fine time to come see the Northern Lights. You can certainly see some spectacular views from ANC, but for the whole experience I'd recommend flying to FAI and going out to Chena Hot Springs.

Here's a link with more info:

email me if you have any other questions, or just reply here and I'll check every few days.
