Alaska
I will be visiting Anchorage and Denali for the first time in August 2002. Other than what's been posted, any suggestions for special sights, off-the road delights, etc. Will be there for about a week. Any suggestions about great places to eat would be appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

Theres some good info on Anchorage dining in the Flyertalk dining section...
I always try to eat at Humpy's, Glacier Brewhouse, and La Mex when I'm up there.
Also, drive down to the Alyeska Prince Resort in Girdwood, take the tram up to the ski lift area and have a drink in the bar (I think its called 7 Glaciers) and watch the sunset.

http://www.alaska.com will provide you with some decent reading and some additional info. I'd also recommend Lonely Planet's Guide to Alaska.
