Section of MAX 9 Blows Out During Ascent (AS 1282 PDX-ONT)
Being reported on airliners.net and Twitter.
Section of the cabin wall is - gone. Hopefully this is fake, but Flightaware seems to note a return to PDX.
Now definitely confirmed....
Section of plane blows out mid-air, makes emergency landing at Portland airport (kptv.com)

FR24 data indicates the flight came right back to PDX after takeoff today: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/f...s1282#33840ae2

N704AL. Only 3 months into service, makes you wonder if it was a manufacturing defect. Looks like it was also just in OKC for some kind of work.

The fact that the seat cushion on the window seat appears to be pulled off makes me hope nobody was sitting there... I do hope everyone was OK.

Apparently there is an optional exit door there that is plugged when not in use, like with AS, and the plug failed.

Not that I have been that far back in Economy in ages, but that’s a row on my no fly list now.
